Age Limit – CTET 2026

CTET February 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

CTET Paper I (Class I to V)

A candidate is eligible if they fulfill any one of the following conditions:

  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

  • Senior Secondary with 45% marks and 2-year D.El.Ed (as per NCTE norms)

  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education

  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education

Only qualifications from NCTE-recognized institutes are valid.


CTET Paper II (Class VI to VIII)

Candidates are eligible if they meet any one of the following criteria:

  • Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

  • Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed

  • Graduation with 45% marks and 1-year B.Ed (NCTE norms)

  • Senior Secondary with 4-year B.El.Ed

  • Graduation with B.Ed in Special Education

  • Any NCTE-recognized B.Ed program
